There have already been some big changes throughout the NBA since the start of free agency a few days ago.

As the summer progresses, rumors of certain stars bouncing around will continue.

Recently, there has been speculation that Joel Embiid might want to leave his Philadelphia 76ers for another team, possibly the New York Knicks.

Chris Broussard is tired of these kinds of rumors and quickly shot it down on Wednesday.

“To me, this is just typical Knicks,” he said on Wednesday’s First Things First.

He added: “Stop thinking all star free agents want to play for the Knicks, because they don’t!”

Broussard said the Knicks have done this over and over throughout their history.

Instead of organically building their own squad from scratch, they have wanted to steal star players from other teams.

But Broussard wants to remind the team that the biggest names in the game simply don’t want to play for the Knicks right now.

There is no real evidence that the Knicks have set their sights on landing Embiid, though they would certainly be open to the idea of him coming to New York.

Then again, what a team would not do you want Embiid, the reigning MVP and one of the greatest basketball players alive?

If Embiid really wanted out of Philadelphia and was really considering a move to the Knicks, the team would be foolish not to pursue him.

Even if these Embiid rumors are complete garbage, the Knicks still have a strong core at the center of the franchise.

They get better and they do it naturally, just as Broussard has urged.
