Last season, the Philadelphia Eagles went from being a good team led by a young and unproven quarterback to being the best team in the NFC.
The Eagles were able to defy the odds in 2022, with quarterback Jalen Hurts turning into a superstar and leading his team to the Super Bowl to face the Kansas City Chiefs.
While the Eagles couldn’t get the best of the Chiefs, the Eagles showed the regular season was no fluke as they gave Patrick Mahomes and company all they could handle, with Hurts showing he’s the real deal on the biggest stage.
In 2023, another quarterback could emerge as a legitimate superstar, and Emmanuel Acho of Fox Sports believes the leader under center will be Justin Fields of the Chicago Bears via Speak On FS1.

Although the Bears finished dead last in the NFC North division with a 3-14 record and lost 10 straight games to end the 2022 campaign, Chicago showed some signs of life and a promising future, with Fields turning into a star in the second half of the season.
Fields did everything in his power to keep the Bears in games in 2022 but didn’t have enough talent around him to get them over the hump or compete against some of the best teams in the league.
Despite being unable to win more than three games, Fields showed enough promise that the team chose not to draft a potential star quarterback in the draft by trading the No. 1 overall pick to the Carolina Panthers and added some talent at wide receiver as a result in DJ Moore.
If Fields can continue to play like he did in the second half of last season to start the 2023 campaign, the Bears might be able to turn that around and potentially compete for a playoff spot.
